So, I didn’t make it to my reading goal of 50 books in 2023. I tried, but I fell into a reading depression from February to July. I’m trying so hard to not let that happen again this year. I have to really silence my phone.
I did surpass 2022’s books read by three. That made me happy.
I didn’t find that I had too many 5 star reads this year, but this was a fun little thriller
Here’s a review I did of Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare
Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I didn’t do the audio book, I read it. It was slow to start, but wasn’t awful. It’s definitely not for young teens, maybe later 16 and up. It’s a slasher and if you like slashers then read it, or don’t, it’s not up to me to decide for you. We all have different tastes.
It reminded me of Scream, I LOVE the Scream films. Finally after 100 pages, we get to the spooky parts. I read it before going to bed and let me tell you my dreams (nightmares) did a number on me.
I would probably give this 3.5 stars 🌟, but since Goodreads can’t create half a star rating, we’ll just stick to 4 because it’s better than 3.

I hope you enjoyed my little review because I have more. I’m also going to cover my Top 10 movies of the year in another blog post. Here’s hoping I watched at least 11 films this year. It was slim pickings for sure!
